We ship butter mochi from our Boston Charlestown kitchen via UPS, booked through Pirate Ship for negotiated rates. Every order is baked fresh, hand-packed in our famous custom pink box, and shipped within 24-48 hours of bake.
How fast does it arrive?
- East Coast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest: UPS Ground, 1-3 business days
- West Coast, Mountain, South, and everywhere else: UPS 2nd Day Air, 2 business days
Most U.S. addresses receive their order within 1-3 business days of dispatch.

We ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure your butter mochi arrives mid-week and avoids weekends in transit.
The pink box
Every order ships in our custom pink box — the same packaging customers obsess over at the café. No styrofoam coolers, no dry ice, no bulky outer cartons stuffed with filler. Butter mochi is dense and travels well; it doesn't crumble, melt, or fall apart in transit.
Tracking
Every order includes UPS tracking. You'll receive an email with tracking information when your order ships, and tracking updates in real time through UPS.
When your butter mochi arrives
Best within 7 days of arrival. Store at room temperature in a sealed container. To freeze, wrap individual pieces and freeze for up to 60 days. To reheat, thaw at room temperature and warm at 300°F for 5 minutes to bring back the buttery crust.
International shipping
We currently ship to the continental United States only. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, Canada, or international addresses. We're working on expanding shipping zones — sign up for our email list for updates.
Returns and refunds
Because butter mochi is a fresh-baked perishable food product, we cannot accept returns. If your order arrives damaged, melted, or otherwise unacceptable, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo and we'll replace or refund the order.
