Shipping Policy
Pixlcat butter mochi is baked fresh to order in our Boston kitchen and shipped via UPS. We bake-to-order and limit transit time so mochi arrives fresh.
Shipping schedule
- We ship Monday through Wednesday only to limit transit time over weekends.
- Order cutoff is 11:59 PM ET the day before your selected delivery date.
- Please allow at least 1 business day lead time between order and ship date.
- For occasions, we recommend ordering at least 5 days before your event.
Shipping zones and rates
We currently ship to the lower 48 United States. Rates are flat by zone, with free shipping on qualifying orders $50+.
Zone A — UPS Ground (1-3 day transit) MA, NH, VT, ME, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, OH, WV, KY, NC, SC, GA, TN, IN, MI

Zone B — UPS 2-Day Air (2-day transit) AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, TX, UT, WA, WI, WY
- $19.99 flat for orders under $50
- Free on orders $50+
We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations.
Delivery date selection
At checkout you'll select your preferred delivery date. Available dates are Monday through Wednesday only. We use this date to schedule your bake and ship so your mochi arrives as fresh as possible.
One address per order
Each online order ships to a single address. For corporate orders or multi-address gifting, please email ohana@pixlcatbuttermochi.com.
Warm weather
During summer months, mochi may arrive slightly softened. It is still safe and delicious — refrigerate or freeze upon arrival and bring to room temperature before eating. We cannot issue refunds for weather-related softening.
Lost, stolen, or damaged packages
Pixlcat cannot be held responsible for packages lost, stolen, or damaged after the carrier confirms delivery. If your tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't received the package, contact your local UPS within 48 hours.
